How to reset the oil life indicator on a 2014 Honda CR-V

The oil life indicator on a 2014 Honda CR-V shows you an approximation of how much life is left in the engine oil, as a percentage. (Fresh oil would be 100%.) When you get an oil change, the mechanic or technician may reset the oil life indicator for you. If they don't, it's easy to reset it yourself.

- Press the Menu button (on the left side of the steering wheel).

- The intelligent Multi-Information Display (i-MID) screen will display "Vehicle information". Press the Source button (in the middle of the arrow pad on the left side of the steering wheel) to select it.

- "Maintenance information" will be displayed. Press the Source button again to select it.

- The oil life will be displayed. Press the Source button to reset it.

- Press the down arrow button to scroll to "Yes" to confirm, then press the Source button.

- Press the Menu button to exit.
